Strength training workouts for all ages and fitness levels

The Geri-Fit Company offers six great strength training exercise programs for all ages and fitness levels to help strengthen bones and muscles. We offer these classes at city recreation centers, senior centers, country clubs, retirement communities, HOA's with clubhouses, PT clinics, yoga studios and any place where group exercise programs are offered. Choose from the following courses:

Geri-Fit® is an evidence based strength training exercise program for older adults. During this 45-minute class, you'll improve functional capacity, balance, flexibility and strength. People that take this class range in age from 60+ and up to 99-years-old but it mostly benefits those that are in their 70's-80's and especially those using canes and walkers. There's no aerobics, choreography, or dancing to learn and there's no floorwork!  Most of the exercises are performed seated in chairs or done standing.  Participants start out using a set of 2-pound dumbbells and, as their strength increases, they can use heavier dumbbells in order to challenge themselves even more.  

Body Sculpting™ is a one-hour all weights strength training exercise program. The class requires a set of 3 or 5-pound dumbbells, an exercise mat and a stretch band. There is no choreography or dance moves to learn. The instructor will provide plenty of one-on-one instruction in the group setting so it will be like working out with your own personal fitness trainer. Body Sculpting™ is suggested for those that are 18 and over and up to the age of 65 provided the participant is in reasonably good shape and can perform full repetition squats and lunges. A chair may be used for balance by older participants that sign up for this class.

Golf-Fit® Strength and Stretching Class
Muscles are the key ingredient in helping you drive the ball further and with more accuracy. This strength training exercise class strengthens and conditions the muscles of the back, legs, hips, chest, shoulders, and arms. We'll work on golf specific exercises and stretches that will help improve your golf game. Recommended for all golfers... beginner to advanced! Enrollment is open to men and women. Seniors have the option to do the exercises in a chair. Bring a set of 2 to 5-pound (each) dumbbells (depending on your age and strength), a stretch band and water to drink. Classes are taught by a certified instructor.

Just Arms and Legs was developed for people that don't have a lot of time to exercise but want to look great in their clothes!  This 30-minute all weights strength training class focuses on just arms and legs. It is suggested for those that are 18 and over (no seniors please unless you are able to do full repetition squats and lunges.)  This is a challenging program that requires a set of 3 to 5-pound dumbbells, an exercise mat and stretch band. We work from one exercise to the next with very little resting time between sets, so you'll also get a great cardio workout, too. 

Geri-Flex®  is a 30-minute stretching program for active older adults. It combines the best stretches from ballet, pilates, tai chi, and yoga. Students are required to get on the floor, so they'll need to bring an exercise mat and stretch band. We'll work on improving joint mobility, flexibility, balance, and muscular strength.

Geri-Fit® Private Lessons are held at select locations throughout southern California as well as in-home visits.  Personal Fitness Training allows you the opportunity to work one-on-one with a Certified Senior Strength Training Specialist. Whatever your goal is, we can help you get stronger, improve your mobility, increase your range of motion, and improve your balance and functional capacity so that you can live more independently.  All sessions are 30-minutes long and all equipment is provided.
