Do I need a doctor's ok in order to take Geri-Fit exercise classes?
Check with your doctor first to see if he/she feels that resistance training with dumbbells is the right fit for your medical condition. It is generally recommended that strength training be done two days a week resting at least one day between workouts. However, your doctor may recommend that you supplement the strength training workouts with other forms of exercise like walking on the "off" days, swimming, doing tai chi, yoga or even walking on a treadmill.

If your doctor recommends that he wants you to exercise with weights three times a week, you are able to purchase a dvd to work out with at home during the weekend. Geri-Fit dvds are available with several different fitness levels. Visit our Products Page for more information.
