Is Geri-Fit safe to do?
Yes absolutely! Chances are, your doctor has already told you to start lifting weights and we are here to help. The Geri-Fit program has been reviewed and approved by a geritrician, physical therapists, an occupational therapist, exercise physiologists, a gerokinesiologist and other medical and fitness professionals throughout the country. These tried and proven strength training exercises, stretches and lesson plan routines have been thoroughly tested and have been in place for over 20 years. Geri-Fit provides the safest type of exercise experience for older adults. Most of the exercises are performed seated in chairs to minimize the risk of falls.

In the 20+ years of offering Geri-FitŪ throughout the U.S., there has never been a claim or instance of anyone hurting themself in class or a resulting injury or death. To assure eligibility, participants are encouraged to check with their doctor first before enrolling in the Geri-FitŪ program. Most likely, your doctor will wholeheartedly recommend Geri-FitŪ as a way for you to stay strong and healthy well into your golden years.
