WeightsŪ Ithe Beginner Workout with Weights If you've never worked out with weights before, this instructional DVD workout will guide you through the basics of strength training. Led by fitness expert Francesca Fisher, the workout starts out with static stretches designed to completely warm up the body and prepare it for the workout. Then, before you actually do the exercise, she'll fully explain it and demonstrate it. Then, she'll start you off on the count and you'll do the workout together with her. Most people use 3 or 5-pound dumbbells (each), but this can vary based on your age and fitness level. It's always best to check with your doctor before starting any exercise dvd. These traditional bodybuilding exercises will not bulk you up and are only designed to build strength, increase bone density and tone your muscles. Once you are completely familiar with the strength training exercises, you may want to consider purchasing Weights II which is a challenging, ongoing workout incorporating the knowledge learned in Weights I.
